As Greta Thunberg makes her way across the Atlantic in a zero-emissions sailboat, these lyrics from the Denver band MEET THE GIANT featured in this week’s edition of Vagrom Eclectic really stood out for me. Both tracks from the band’s self-titled EP:
“How long are you giving me to figure this out? The clocks are running, until all the lies are told.”
Runaway
“Does it wear you down, the choice that you have made? When the seeds are sown, the path is laid.”
Sentry
As the reality of climate change sinks in, I feel like more and more artists are starting to ask questions. Like, how long are you giving me to figure this out?
MEET THE GIANT will be playing at an old Colfax standard, Lost Lake, on Saturday, August 31st. They share the bill with The Astronauts, The Center and Bad Britton. Be sure to tell them Vagrom sent ya.
MEET THE GIANT formed in 2009 as a writing and recording outlet for scene veterans Erin Cisney, Micaela Haluko, and Lawrence Snell (hailing from such acts as Colder Than Fargo, Fallout Orphan, and The Legendary Beep Beeps). Their self-titled debut was released in May 2018.
