The five brothers, who each had unique abilities, banded together to rescue their brother Fifth Brother from an evil magistrate. Fifth Brother had eaten fruit from the magistrate's garden and was sentenced to life in the magistrate's dungeon.
The brothers devised a plan where Fourth Brother distracted a dragon guarding treasure on Fire Island while First Brother retrieved the treasure to bargain for Fifth Brother's freedom. When the magistrate then refused to release Fifth Brother, his tears flooded the land and swept the magistrate away, allowing the brothers to return home together.
