The Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council have issued a new plan for further developing Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone on Monday. The total area of the cooperation zone will be expanded to over 120 square km from 15 square km.
According to the plan, the new blueprint was formulated to help Qianhai better play an exemplary and leading role in the development of the Greater Bay Area, and the reform and opening up of the zone will be comprehensively deepened.
By 2035, Qianhai will boast world-class business environment, and will become an engine for high-quality development with strong capability in global resource allocation, breeding innovation and leading coordinated development.
The plan also stresses eight missions for Qianhai, which include advancing the development of the modern service industry, accelerating the reform and innovation of the system and mechanisms for sci-tech development, fostering a world-class business environment, innovating governance model, promoting free trade in services with Hong Kong and Macao, expanding the opening-up of the financial sector, further opening up legal affairs, and promoting high-level participation in international cooperation.
A total of 11,500 Hong Kong-invested companies have been registered in the zone, with registered capital reaching 1.28 trillion yuan, according to official data released in late August.
9月6日，中共中央、国务院印发的《全面深化前海深港现代服务业合作区改革开放方案》对外发布。为进一步扩展发展空间，前海合作区总面积由14.92平方公里扩展至120.56平方公里。
方案指出，开发建设前海深港现代服务业合作区（以下简称前海合作区）是支持香港经济社会发展、提升粤港澳合作水平、构建对外开放新格局的重要举措，对推进粤港澳大湾区建设、支持深圳建设中国特色社会主义先行示范区、增强香港同胞对祖国的向心力具有重要意义。
根据方案发展目标，到2035年，前海合作区高水平对外开放体制机制更加完善，营商环境达到世界一流水平，建立健全与港澳产业协同联动、市场互联互通、创新驱动支撑的发展模式，建成全球资源配置能力强、创新策源能力强、协同发展带动能力强的高质量发展引擎，改革创新经验得到广泛推广。
前海合作区的“八大”关键词是什么？我们带你划重点：推进现代服务业创新发展，加快科技发展体制机制改革创新，打造国际一流营商环境，深化与港澳服务贸易自由化，创新合作区治理模式，扩大金融业对外开放，提升法律事务对外开放水平，以及建设高水平国际合作枢纽。
截至2021年8月，前海深港现代服务合作区累计注册港资企业1.15万家，注册资本1.28万亿元，其产业布局以金融、现代物流、信息、科技等为主。

He stated that the country will continue to improve the legal environment, promote fair competition and oppose monopoly, as well as to protect property and intellectual rights.

China's total imports and exports expanded 23.7 percent year on year to 24.78 trillion yuan (about 3.84 trillion U.S. dollars) in the first eight months of the year, data from the General Administration of Customs showed Tuesday. In August alone, the country's imports and exports rose 18.9 percent year on year to 3.43 trillion yuan.

China's market entities registered fast growth in recent years, with the total number rising from 55 million in 2012 to 146 million at the end of July, said the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) on Monday. The number of companies more than trebled to 46 million, while that of self-employed businesses reached 98 million, about 2.5 times the 2012 number.

The founder of e-commerce giant JD.com Richard Liu is to step back from day-to-day operations by handing over the reins to a company veteran, though the tycoon retains tight grip over the company. In a Monday filing to the Hong Kong bourse, the company said it had created a new president position responsible for such operations, and that it would be filled by Xu Lei.
