A full lockdown will be imposed on Shanghai's Pudong and Puxi in turn for a new round of citywide nucleic acid testing from Monday morning, the city government announced on Sunday night, as daily new infection numbers have climbed since the city's worst outbreak started early this month.
From 5 am Monday to 5 am Friday, the regions east of the Huangpu River will be locked down while residents are tested.
The rules also apply to key subdistricts in Puxi, west of the river, which are already under lockdown and tested frequently. From 3 am Friday to 3 am April 5, other regions in Puxi will be put under lockdown as well.
Shanghai reported 50 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases on Sunday, together with 3,450 local asymptomatic infections. Local government said the latest measure is taken to curb the virus spread, protect people's life and health, and achieve the dynamic zero-COVID target as soon as possible.
All enterprises, except those necessary for ensuring the people's daily needs and the city's operation, will run under closed-off management or have their employees work from home. Services including bus, subway, ferry, taxi and online ride-hailing will be suspended in the areas under closed management.
After the notice, brokerages and fund companies deployed their employees and made proper work arrangements, taking into account the special nature of certain jobs, such as trading, IT, customer service and operations.
China's major A-share market opened lower on Monday trading. However, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose to the occasion and closed 0.07 percent higher today after slipping by more than 1.6 percent in early trading.
The Shanghai Stock Exchange on Sunday night issued a notice detailing 30 measures to optimise self-regulatory services and support the proper functioning of the stock market during the pandemic. It proposes applications for issuance and listing, major asset reorganisation and other related applications submitted through its online approval system will be accepted normally, and allows listed firms to apply for postponing releases of full-year earnings until April 30. The exchange is also offering "cloud listing" services for online listing ceremonies.
3月27日晚，上海宣布从28日起，以黄浦江为界，开展新一轮切块式、网格化核酸筛查。
第一批，浦东、浦南及毗邻区域先行实施封控，开展核酸筛查，4月1日5时解封。同时，浦西地区重点区域继续实施封控管理。第二批，4月1日3时起，按照压茬推进的原则，对浦西地区实施封控，开展核酸筛查，4月5日3时解封。
据上海市卫健委28日通报，2022年3月27日0—24时，新增本土新冠肺炎确诊病例50例和无症状感染者3450例。
封控区域内，住宅小区实施封闭式管理，所有人员足不出户，人员和车辆只进不出；所有企业实施封闭生产或居家办公，保障市民生活和城市基本运行的公共服务类企业除外。暂停公交、地铁、轮渡、出租汽车、网约车运行。
通告指出，市、区各有关部门和保供企业要确保生活必需品供应充足、价格稳定，封控期间要提供平价主副食品供应。要畅通绿色通道，保障市民群众的应急就医需求。
作为全国最重要的金融城市，上海金融界在封控期间如何保证稳定高效运行受到强烈关注。封控消息一出，有金融从业人员连夜赶往公司，成为一道逆行的风景。当晚，上交所紧急发布“抗疫30条”，全力保障资本市场稳定运行，为企业提供云上市服务。
具体措施涉及股票发行上市审核和发行承销、上市公司信息披露业务、债券业务服务、其他业务服务等四大板块，包括扩大了线上服务范围，增强了线上服务的技术能力；正常受理发行人通过上交所科创板审核业务系统提交的发行上市、重大资产重组及其他相关申请；上市公司事后公告披露时段延长至晚上23:00，年报披露可申请延期至4月30日前；债券业务服务建立绿色通道等。
China's industrial firms saw profit growth slow to 5 percent in the first two months of 2022, pressured by higher costs and weaker sales, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed on Sunday. NBS official said industrial profit has continued the recovery trend since last year, but cautioned the cost pressures facing enterprises have increased, as the profit margin and the sales have declined.
1-2月工业利润增速放缓：3月27日，国家统计局发布最新数据，1-2月份全国规模以上工业企业实现利润总额11575.6亿元，同比增长5.0%，增速较去年12月份回升0.8个百分点。国家统计局工业司高级统计师朱虹指出，受基数较高影响，1-2月份工业企业利润增速较去年全年明显回落，企业成本压力加大，利润率和产销衔接水平均有所下降。

Hong Kong's economy is on course to contract in the first quarter of 2022, breaking a four-quarter run of recovery, with the latest unemployment rate jumping 0.6 percent to 4.5 percent and volatility in the stock market, said the financial secretary of the Hong Kong SAR government on March 27, yet adding that he remained confident in the city’s economy.

China's telecommunication giant Huawei maintained solid operations throughout 2021, achieving 114 billion yuan in net profits, up 76 percent year on year. Revenue fell 29 percent to 637 billion yuan, the company said Monday. R&D investment reached 143 billion yuan, accounting for 22 percent of its yearly revenue. Meng Wanzhou, the firm’s CFO, said although Huawei is scaling down in size, the company is in fact scaling up its profitability and capability in acquiring cash flow, which improves its ability to tackle uncertainties.

Sinopec posted a net profit last year that more than doubled on 2020 to 71.2 billion yuan, the most in a decade, the state-owned oil firm said in its 2021 annual report on Sunday. Operating income also jumped by 30 percent to 2.7 trillion yuan in 2021 on the back of recovering energy demand and oil price increases. The oil giant expects to spend 198 billion yuan this year, and that is up 18 percent on last year.

Chinese battery giant CATL will launch a new battery cell whose capacity is 13 percent higher than that in battery cells equipped on US electric vehicle maker Tesla’s cars, the company’s scientist in chief said at the China Electric Vehicle 100 Forum on Saturday. CATL’s new Qilin cell will use the battery maker’s third-generation cell-to-pack technology to ensure high mileage at a low price．
宁德时代推出“麒麟”电池：在3月26日举行的中国电动汽车百人会论坛上，宁德时代首席科学家吴凯称，公司已推出第三代CTP（高效成组）技术，内部代号为“麒麟”电池。吴凯提及，高效成组技术既能解决里程焦虑问题，不同化学体系的搭配也能兼顾经济性需求。他透露，在相同化学体系和同等电池包尺寸下，“麒麟”电池的电量相比4680系统提升13%。
China’s food delivery behemoth Meituan reported last Friday a net loss for the December quarter totalling 5.3 billion yuan, while revenue rose 31 percent to 49.5 billion yuan, the slowest in more than a year. For the whole year, Meituan's revenue reached 179 billion yuan in 2021, an increase of 56 percent year-on-year, while net loss stood at 23.5 billion yuan, against a net profit of 471 million in the previous year.

China's biggest listed coal producer, China Shenhua Energy, posted a 28.3-percent rise in net profit in 2021, reversing a declining trend for the past three years from 2018 to 2020. Revenue surged 44 percent to 335 billion yuan in 2021, the company said on Friday.

China and the U.S. are "moving toward each other" in audit regulatory cooperation, media reported Sunday citing an insider close to the regulatory department. The regulators of the two sides are "fully aware of each other's concerns" and are trying to find solutions to the auditing dispute, said the source, adding the move is in the "best interests" of the two countries' capital markets and global investors.

Yuzhou Group is seeking support from state-backed investors to take over $548 million of debts coming due next month as the Chinese property developer struggles to repay bondholders at home and abroad. Fujian-based Yuzhou is in talks with state-backed investors with the assistance of local authorities to transfer some of its domestic bonds to new investors.
禹洲集团寻找债务转售：3月25日，禹洲集团控股有限公司称，由于可支配资金不足，将对境内临近回售日的公司债采取延期策略，争取让现有债券投资人不选择回售，或者把债权转售给国有投资者。禹洲集团透露，这些投资者由相关政府部门牵头协调，具有国有背景，债务有望展期一年。

Chinese stocks closed mixed on Monday. The benchmark Shanghai Composite managed to edge up 0.07 percent, while the Shenzhen Component retreated 1.02 percent. The Hang Seng Index closed up 1.31 percent as the TECH Index soared 2.62 percent.

Cell-to-pack refers to the direct integration of cells into a battery pack, without the modules used in most current pack designs. The conventional battery pack uses cells to build a module and then assembles modules into a pack. A CTP battery pack builds on wide and short cells and assembles them directly into a pack, thereby having much higher mass and volume integration efficiencies than the conventional pack.
CTP（Cell to Pack）技术，即电池无模组，是在原有的电池化学体系基础上，通过电池单体设计和电池包集成形式的优化，将原有的单体—模组—电池包的三层结构，改进为由大电芯/大模组构成的单体—电池包两层结构。CTP技术不采用模组，电芯单独装配，降低装配难度，提高了生产效率，因此提高质量能量密度及整车续航里程。
