02 UK spaceman breaks limits 首位残疾宇航员将前往空间站
John McFall, a UK astronaut, smiled next to a flag of the European Space Agency . On Feb 14, McFall, 43, got the ESA’s green light to go to space. He is the first person with a physical disability to do this, said AFP. McFall lost his right leg at the age of 19 because of an accident. But then he worked hard and went on to be an athlete. At the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games , he finished third in the 100m race.
