92 Wow! Wind Works!
You know when the wind blows. A flag waves. A kite sails across the sky. Wind has lots of power. Wind can spin pinwheels. Wind toys and weather vanes stay still. The wind blows. Then they can go fast. Wind can help balloons move up. Hot air lifts a balloon up. Wind can make it soar. What power it has! Wind can change the shape of trees. Some places are very windy. Trees, ice , and even rocks change shape over time. Wind can be used to make electricity. The wind machine is like a very big pinwheel. Its blades, or wings, catch the wind. The machine can then turn the wind into electricity.
