More focused than the previous one but with a double (“I Feel”).. I dropped the ball on that one but the second remix was just the disco vibe I was going for…

I love “Creeping in the Dark”.. Mixing House and UK Hip Hop.. Only Grant Nelson can achieve this magic fusion. I remember listening to the world exclusive on Housecall (www. housecallfm.com) and immediately pre-ordering it on Itunes. Hip Hop, soulful with a very slight garage feel. Grant Nelson magic!
Ann Nesby/Spen “ I Feel” is as good soulful house currently on release. The first remix from Jerome Robbins is pure soulful sound, vocal in front, big funky baseline, with a distinct gospel vibe.. Respect! The second one (DJ Spen, Thommy Davis & Gary Hudgins Remix) is straight out of the 80’s disco book with a Giorgio Moroder sound, which I am sure is not fortuitous.
“It’s You” have always loved the track since I first heard it a few years ago. Mousse T gives it a little disco up feel. I would entice you to look on the Defected video feel for a live rendition of “It’s You” at Sonar 2014 in Barcelona.. I was there, seeing a crowd off realizing what a live vocal sound can bring in terms of emotions and swag was unforgettable.. Vocalist being more than cute might have played a role as well.
“Running to Love” what more can I write but Andrea Love as a vocalist, Steven Stone and Earnshaw on the production table.. House does not get better and this track is well within my top 5 soulful tracks of the last couple of years.
“Pennies from Heaven”, another track, another soul diva but all packaged with the edginess of Inner City and Kevin Saunderson. And they avoided the omnipresent distorted bass we hear everywhere else!

“Woman” maybe the most interesting soulful release of 2015.. I love the vibe, I adore the remix package (and will use other remixes shortly), useless to say that I love the adlib lyrics ( straight out of the Xtian house book ;) .. Possibly the track belonged in another mix, be I would dance to it sandwiched as it is between two house bangers and I could not sit on this massive track any longer!! So I am asking you “ What if the word was a Woman?”
