2018 Aug Vols de Nuit (CX178)
Progressive House curated from 30,000 ft travelling to China. Your chillout companion or the appropriate soundscape to immerse yourself into a good book. Few vocals, deep progressive grooves and mostly current beats.
Most of you know Antoine de St Exupery only through the quizzical “Petit Prince” (The Little Prince”). For us French, he was a VERY bad fighter and postal pilot but an amazing writer. Unsurprisingly, he died flying but left us with a short but amazing literary trail.
One of his most famous books is “Vols De Nuit”, which, beyond the description of flying solo across the Atlantic and the Andes to deliver the mail in the 20’s and 30’s, depicts the introspection of a very lonely man facing his fate, knowing that the finality of his life could not be avoided.
Somehow, whilst flying to China, St. Ex came back to me.

More from Chicane’s latest artist album “The Place you can’t remember, The Place you can’t forget”. Can’t urge you more to buy this album.
Do not gloss over the little gems that are “ All I Want” with Astrid Suryanto, “Rise”, “All I Feel is You” and “Never Enough”. Tunes, which may not be anthem but given a bit of exposure will grow on you.
Will be back soon/A bientôt
