2018 Sept China: The Harder Set
Progressive House and light Trance with new remixes and edits of classic tunes. More than a few Xtian’s edit and mashups, probably too many.
I should have uploaded this set ages ago as it was done simultaneously as the 2 previous one. Never got around to it and my shopping car tis bursting to the seam. Time to publish. Up in tempo and reflecting my mood at the time.
A lot of tunes you know thrown in, give it a go, there is a lot of sugar towards the end.
Life not simple currently, would expect it to be reflected in my choice of tunes. Cover art is a photo I took of street art I stumbled across whilst in Qinyang, Henan, China.

Highlights:
A quick word on the 2 Everything but the Girl (EBTG) tunes. I look at EBTG as absolute master of the crossover between POP Music and House. Been Watt and Tracey Thorn collaborated to write, produce and perform tunes that are all classics, pushing the boundaries of both genres. They eventually had enough and both ventured into new artistic endeavours. Sad for us but probably perfect for them.
“Temperamental”, great deep original tune, which remix I found on heartat.this, check it out I could not find whom to credit and a new remix of “Missing” in my absolute top 5 tunes.

“The One You Left Behind” from Yotto. Otto Yliperttula, known professionally by his stage name, Yotto, is a Finnish DJ, songwriter, and record producer he has just realeased his first artist album “Hyperfall”. If you like deep progressive house, check him out. Absolute gem of an artist and producer.

As to the mini-mix of Three Drives’ Anthem “Greece” and “Café del Mar”, a bit indulgent but will always have a weakness for the original Balearic sound and I am always on the look at for new takes on those tracks.
A bientôt!
