Jesus demonstrated the ultimate model of servant leadership by washing His disciples' feet, a task considered beneath even Jewish slaves. This profound act revealed that authentic leadership emerges through serving others rather than seeking authority or status. His service flowed from a place of complete security in His identity and demonstrated a love that persisted despite His followers' failures and weaknesses.This example challenges common perceptions about leadership and service. While society often emphasizes leadership positions, Jesus showed that true influence comes through humble service. His actions teach that we must first receive His cleansing grace before we can effectively serve others. This includes both the initial cleansing of salvation and the ongoing process of confession and forgiveness. When we grasp our identity as God's children and experience His unconditional love, we're empowered to serve others without feeling diminished.
