Jesus warned His disciples that the world would hate them, just as it hated Him. The world system, governed by the evil one, fundamentally opposes God and leaves Him out entirely. Christians face hatred because they are no longer part of this world system - Jesus chose them out of it, making them traitors to worldly values. This opposition is inevitable for all who desire to live godly lives in Christ Jesus. However, believers should respond not with worldly anger but with love and grace, remembering they have a heavenly Father who knew this opposition was coming and has equipped them for it.
