Das Interessante an Jiddisch ist, dass das Hauptverbreitungsgebiet bis zum Zweiten Weltkrieg Osteuropa war – also Ukraine, Polen, Weißrussland, Litauen. Und die Sprache ist unverkennbar eng verwandt mit dem Deutschen.
Das Jiddische hat sich aus dem Mittelhochdeutschen entwickelt, so viel ist klar.
