Anlässlich des Black History Month 2026 startet unser Podcast „Geschichte(n) aus dem Museum“ mit einer besonderen, vertiefenden Episode ins neue Jahr. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Ausstellung „Schwarze Juden. Weiße Juden? Über Hautfarben und Vorurteile“, die sich mit Zuschreibungen, Sichtbarkeit und Vielfalt innerhalb jüdischer Lebensrealitäten auseinandersetzt.
Zu Beginn geben Direktorin Barbara Staudinger und Chefkurator Hannes Sulzenbacher Einblick in die Idee hinter der Ausstellung: Wie sind Vorstellungen von „jüdischem Aussehen“ historisch entstanden? Warum halten sich bestimmte Bilder und Stereotype so hartnäckig? Und welche Rolle kann ein Museum dabei spielen, vielfältige Perspektiven sichtbar zu machen?
