The Department of Health and Human Services recently ordered St. Francis Health System, a Catholic hospital in Oklahoma, to extinguish a Eucharistic candle in one of its hospital chapels. HHS claimed it was a fire hazard and threatened that the hospital could lose its accreditation if it failed to comply.
