Die Monografie „Identitäten in regionalen Zentren der Habsburgermonarchie 1867–1918. Die Fallbespiele Rijeka und Maribor“ von PD Dr. Angela Ilić ist vor kurzem im Harrassowitz Verlag in Wiesbaden erschienen und wurde vom IKGS gefördert. Diese multiperspektivisch und multilingual angelegte Studie stellt die Entwicklung, Repräsentation und gegenseitige Wahrnehmung unterschiedlicher Identitätskonstruktionen im öffentlichen Raum der beiden Städte vor. Donauwellen. Der Südostcast#22: Preserving the Visual Heritage of Historical GottscheeA Conversation with Anja Moric
The IKGS photo archives contains several hundred historical photographs and negatives from the Gottschee/Kočevsko region in the Republic of Slovenia, where a numerically significant German population had lived until 1941. Between September and December 2023, this collection was evaluated and prepared for digitization as part of a project funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labor and Social Affairs.
Angela Ilić talks to Dr. Anja Moric (Ljubljana), associated scholar of the IKGS in 2024, who worked on the project and who has been conducting research on Gottschee for twenty years.

Enikő Dácz discusses the newest issue of the Yearbook “Danubiana Carpathica” titled “Movement – Organization – Ideology. Mobilization through Sport in Southeast Europe in the 19th and 20th Centuries” with volume editors Angela Ilić and Tobias Weger. They explain why they decided to include several English contributions in the book and why they even wrote a separate introduction in English, what some of the most surprising discoveries in the process were, and what sets this volume apart from many other publications on sports in Southeast Europe.

Donauwellen. Der Südostcast#10 Kulturhauptstädte in Südosteuropa: Rijeka, Novi Sad, Timișoara
Die Hafenstadt Rijeka/Fiume (Kroatien) fungierte coronabedingt gleich zwei Jahre lang als Europäische Kulturhauptstadt (2020 und 2021). In diesem Jahr trägt Novi Sad/Neusatz (Serbien) diesen Titel, 2023 dann Timișoara/Temeswar in Rumänien.
