Strong winds deny Akani Simbine and Gift Leotlela new records at the 2021 Sizwe Medical Fund ASA Senior Track & Field and Combined Events Championships in Pretoria on Thursday. Simbine stormed to victory in the 100m with a season leading time of 9.82 secs (+2.8m/s), with the 0.8m/s wind over the legal limit ruling it out from being a new South African record. Sports Minister Solomon Dalung dares IAAF, gives no commitment to repay ‘missing’ $130,000 that was overpaid in 2017.
