Boris Eldagsen studierte Photographie und Bildende Kunst an der Kunsthochschule Mainz (Vladimir Spacek & Klaus Vogelgesang), Philosophie an der Uni Mainz, Konzeptkunst und Intermedia an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Prag (Miloš Šejn & Milan Knížák) und Freie Kunst an der Sarojini Naidu School of Arts & Communication Hyderabad / Indien (Laxma Goud). 2013 nahm er an einer Masterclass von Roger Ballen teil.
2013 erhielt er den Prix Voies Off in Arles, 2015 den Photography Show Award des FORMAT Festivals in Derby. Seit 2014 ist er Mitglied der Deutschen Fotografischen Akademie.
