呢一招唔單只冇令佢失去香港嘅觀眾，反而仲擴大咗呢部片喺內地嘅受眾。
《破事兒》係一部包含咗所有元素嘅電影，簡直係大盆菜。除咗海誓山盟嘅承諾，兄弟情深嘅澎湃，仲有刺激神經嘅香豔，復古簡樸嘅歌舞，恐怖靈異嘅傳聞，生死之間嘅掙扎更加係少不了嘅猛料。
你可以睇到成群嘅熟悉面孔出現喺呢部片入面，陳冠希嘅廁所奇遇，杜汶澤嘅叫雞故事，亦只不過係呢部片嘅小小插曲。
撇開呢啲唔講，電影入面樸實無華嘅敘事方式同精悍刁鑽嘅劇情亦係佢備受推崇嘅原因之一。
歸根究底，哪怕係難登大雅之堂嘅"濕碎"瑣事，亦可以喺導演嘅手上變成令人拍案叫絕嘅連場好戲。呢啲先至叫犀利。

Trivial Matters
This year we've seen more and more cultural exchanges between Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Director Paang Hou Tseung is one of the first movers. He directed the movie "Trivial Matters" -- whose name comes directly from Mandarin instead of Cantonese. Although this move lost him much of his Hong Kong audience, it was successful in attracting people from Mainland China. "Trivial Matters" is a movie with several interesting elements, including mysterious fairy tales, unbreakable brotherhood, beautiful love stories, and men struggling to choose between heaven and hell. In this movie, you can see many familiar faces including Edison Chen and Chapman Dou. And overall, although the movie is all about trivial matters, critics have been positive and audiences have found it entertaining. That said, a good director doesn't need a once-in-a-century story to make a good movie; in fact, he could simply make one with trivial matters.
