Accidents & Deaths in Brussels from Scooters
We discussed the rise in accidents with electric scooters in Brussels. According to the Brussels Times, there were 846 injury accidents. (Source: https://www.brusselstimes.com/280346/dramatic-increase-in-number-of-pedestrians-killed-more-e-scooter-accidents) However, it's not clear what % of those accidents are from shared scooters & what % is from privately owned electric scooters, I would assume that the accidents with shared scooters is relatively low due to how regulated they are (speed limit, user behaviour monitoring etc.) I also provided my opinion on how the government can tackle this issue through collaboration with the operators.
