And under the Law of Moses, men of Israel could only marry women of the “Tribe” they belonged (Num.36:5-7).
King David was from the “Tribe of Judah” (Israel’s dark-skinned Tribe) who descended from the (Canaanites). “Judah” married a Canaanite woman – establishing the “Tribe of Judah,” (Gen.38).
Therefore, in David marrying “Abigail,”
we know that she was also Black – otherwise, “David” would not be permitted to marry her.
