Librarian Jonathan Jeffrey will discuss how the 1918 Spanish Influenza became an epidemic in Kentucky. Jonathan Jeffrey, is the Department Head for the Department of Library Special Collections and the Manuscripts & Folklife Archives Coordinator at Western Kentucky University. He is responsible for managing the department and for acquiring, accessioning, cataloging, and providing reference services for unique manuscript items as well as folklore collections. The collection numbers over one million pages within approximately 4,500 manuscript collections as well as 4,000 audio recordings.
