In the year 5696 (1936), Purim fell out on Sunday, with Taanis Esther on the Previous Sunday; at the farbrengen that year, my father-in-law, the Rebbe, related that in the year 5679 (1919) he was travelling with his father the Rebbe Nishmaso Eden on Taanis Esther (which was on a Thursday that year, too), and he reminded his father, about the maamarim the Alter Rebbe had delivered on Purim of 5547 (1787 – when Purim was also on a Sunday).
