There is a reason for that, mixes on a theme is hard. Much harder than live mixing a single genre. And this is what I have tried here: Whittling down a playlist of only Norwegian and Scandinavian artists of the last decade and a half into a semi-cohesive whole. It is much harder than it sounds, but then again I appreciate a DJ challenge.

GenErik24 GenErik (Improvising) Under The Open Air IIISo this week's set didn't quite turn out the way I wanted. An hour before my set was scheduled I got hit by the iOS8/iTunes 12 syncing bug, which necessitated a complete nuking of my library. To even get tracks on to my iPad, I needed to do a full restore. Which of course also meant deleting any built up metadata: key, tempo and cue-point information. I ended up getting my music synced over, but none of that useful metadata. A few months ago I submitted Side B as a mix to win a competition to warm up for house legend Daniel Portman. Thanks to immense support and (now) over 4000 plays, I won the competiton. Side A is the live mix I played on a rooftop above Brisbane. It was a magical day.
