The idea being expressed here is not to keep the revelation secret. A sealed text was not to be tampered with or changed in any way. God is the ultimate preserver of scripture. The inspiration of God’s word includes preservation. Isaiah 40:8, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.” The preservation of the book of Daniel is in a specific framework “until the time of the end.” The context shows that the future generation living during the tribulation is in mind here.
