Police: Gunman steals package left outside Henrico home
Henrico Police have asked for help identifying a gunman seen on video stealing a package from outside a Henrico County home. The theft was reported on Sept. 24 along the 300 block of O’Brien Road near Henrico High School. Jelisa Turner has been appointed to lead the Henrico Department of Outreach and Engagement, Henrico's newest government agency. Turner, who previously served as the Henrico Fire Community Assistance, Resources, and Education (CARE) Program manager, began her new position Aug. 24. The Henrico County Board of Supervisors created the new agency with the goal of better serving the diverse needs of all county residents. Effective July 1, the Henrico County government will move its website and email addresses to the .gov domain as part of an effort to improve cybersecurity. The new domain, henrico.gov, will replace the current domain, henrico.us, and county email addresses, which end in @henrico.gov, with the more secure .gov format, which is available only to official, U.S.-based government organizations and publicly controlled entities. We were privileged to have Rai Beasley visit us today at CTE Now headquarters to talk to us about why he thinks Henrico CTE is important to the students of Henrico County. Mr. Beasley is one of Henrico County's most involved citizens. Mr. Beasley and his wife have fostered over 30 children and have 2 adopted children.
