Anfang August gab es im Hafen von der libanesischen Hauptstadt Beirut zwei schwere Explosionen. Neben zahlreichen Verletzte und Tote haben etwa ein Zehntel der Einwohner*innen der Stadt ihr Zuhause verloren. Deswegen gibt es nun überall Hilfeaufrufe, etwa um zu spenden und den Menschen vor Ort zu helfen. Dabei ist das gar nicht so leicht. Denn der Libanon ist nicht erst seit den Explosionen in einer schwierigen Situation – Korruption, eine schlechte Wirtschaftslage und eine humanitäre Krise machen alles ziemlich kompliziert.

Über abgesagte Tourneen und Festivals und was das für Künstlerinnen bedeutet, ist viel berichtet worden. Weniger Aufmerksamkeit bekommen die Leute, die im Hintergrund arbeiten, zum Beispiel Bühnen- und Tontechnikerinnen. Die meisten von ihnen arbeiten freiberuflich und haben seit März keine Aufträge mehr.

Eine erste Studie der TU München legt genau das nahe. Dort wurde untersucht, wie viele Frauen und Kinder Opfer von häuslicher Gewalt während des Lockdowns geworden sind. Und auch wenn die Studie keinen Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit erhebt, sind die Zahlen erschreckend.

Derzeit sind viele Menschen auf Hilfe angewiesen. Manche können wegen Corona das Haus nicht verlassen und brauchen Unterstützung beim Einkaufen, andere brauchen Support, weil sie durch Corona vielleicht in finanzielle Schwierigkeiten gekommen sind. Gründe gibt es auf jeden Fall viele.
Doch nicht jede Hilfe ist gleich: Immer wieder gibt es Berichte über Neonazigruppen und rechtsextreme Parteien, die Nachbarschaftshilfen anbieten und damit ihre Ideologie verbreiten wollen.

Was sie dabei erleben, kann nicht nur Folgen für die körperliche Gesundheit haben, sondern auch für die Psyche. In Bremen hat die Gruppe Solidarischen Psychologinnen HB deswegen eine Hilfshotline für medizinisches Personal eingerichtet. Dort können Pflegekräfte, Ärztinnen und andere Mitarbeiter*innen aus Krankenhäusern oder Pflegeeinrichtungen kostenlose psychologische Beratung bekommen.
