In this episode, Jay and Jess get the extreme pleasure of interviewing the one and only Ashley Sloan. Ashley is a farmwife out of southern Oklahoma that has endured more in one life than anyone should, but she is here to tell her story of how God has worked it all for good in her life! This one was surely special, as Ashley is one of the best friends that surprised Jess in Jackson Hole that you all heard about in the last episode. This past week I had the chance to sit down with SMSgt Jay Hughes. If any of you haven’t had a conversation with him yet I’d highly recommend it. He’s a very open person who we could all learn something from. We talked about surfing in NC, September 11th, Jiu Jitsu and how it differentiates itself from other martial arts, teaching empathy, how to influence the people you work with, and how complaining isn’t really a bad thing for leadership teams. Broadly, you will hear house, you will hear some techno, you might get some disco or electro, there will be world music influences, it might sound jazzy, you never really know, but what’s for sure is you will never hear that cheesy pop hiding behind that bastardised so-called genre of “EDM music”.
