Crucified
Our worship service for this Palm/Passion Sunday is the first of our Holy Week observances. It was very special for that and for another reason--Jerrie Sue Massengale was back at the piano keyboard! (She looks GREAT in a mask!) Buddy's sermon was on Mark 15: 21-32. The bulletin for the service may be downloaded from our church website.

Ministry with the "Other"
There was a drive-in service today, but the pouring rain and thunder ruined our live recording. So here is the pre-recorded version, which is almost identical. Our thanks to Jerrie Sue and Ed Massengale and Ben Sexton for the music, to our devoted members who stood in the rain to direct traffic and collect the prayer requests and offering, and to Pastor Buddy for leading us in prayers and consideration of Exodus 1:8 - 2:10. Today's hymns were: "To God be the Glory," and "Here I am, Lord."

Saved, Blessed, to be a Blessing. Really?
The rich young man asked a common question: "What must I do to be saved?" You've probably had a similar question--if you've thought much about God at all. In his sermon, Pastor Tom discusses both salvation and blessings. Included in this recording, made Oct. 14, 2018, is music (Jerrie Sue Massengale at the piano), a Scripture reading (Mark 10:17-31), and prayers.

Confession, Forgiveness, Repentance
Highlights from the August 5, 2018 Worship Service. Pastor Tom Reed was in the pulpit, assisted by Jerrie Sue Massengale at the piano, the choir, and Choir Director Carolyn M. Smith. Which comes first, in God's way of doing things--forgiveness or repentance? How "good" does one have to be to be loved by God? Pastor Tom led us in considering these and other questions of faith based on these Scriptures: 2 Samuel 11:26 - 12:13a; Ephesians 4: 1-16; and John 6:24-35.

Two Within and Without
David was a great King -- and a great sinner. Like him, we all must choose between good and bad -- but also between good, better, and best. How often do we compromise for good and neglect what's best? Does God really want us to understand our enemies? Pastor Tom Reed is in the pulpit, Jerrie Sue Massengale is at the piano. The music director and hymn story teller is Carolyn Smith. Recorded July 29, 2018.
