Still, Lowell Bennett soldiered on and continued to race weekly on dirt at Shawano and pavement at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna. All with the same race car. Rudolph had one class and one class only - the Grand Nationals. Rudolph saw the car as a more affordable weekly division headliner compared to the more costly late models or sprint cars at that time. Mike Randerson talks about the early 1990's and the explosion of this new division which also was the precursor of the Mid American stock car series on pavement. Good stuff here! Mike Randerson was smack dab in the middle of this ever-evolving technology, and RanderCar Racing did it's best to continue to stay on top of both the pavement technology and the dirt late model scene. Randerson was one of many who responded to assist Detjens after the crash at the backstretch pit entrance.  Randerson talks about the aftermath of the crash and how Kulwicki took some heat after that wreck and rebounded from it.
