Broken Bones to Burj Khalifa: Dana Paran
Dana Paran is what we'll call a "reformed weightlifter." A one-time Olympic hopeful, Paran dabbled in CrossFit before becoming a full-time competitor in 2019, traveling to the Asia CrossFit Championship sanctioned event. In 2022 she qualified for the Syndicate Crown semifinal before declining her invitation to focus on her own mental health. Oh, by the way, doctors once told Dana she shouldn't be doing high-level competing like this after shattering her ankle/foot in a fall. A few weeks ago Dana finished 10th at the Dubai Fitness Championship and is locked and loaded for the 2023 season.
