Cecilia Bartoli präsentiert bei ihren Pfingstfestspielen in Salzburg heuer die "Orpheus"-Oper von Christoph Willibald Gluck. Der Försterssohn aus der Pfalz galt seinen Zeitgenossen als bedeutendster Opernkomponist. Noch im 19. Jahrhundert wollte man ihm in Wien ein Denkmal, gemeinsam mit Haydn, Mozart und Beethoven setzen.
