繼2015年《HUMAN》開先例成為在聯合國大會廳首映的電影後，法國環境學家、《盧貝松之搶救地球》導演楊亞祖貝彤（Yann Arthus-Bertrand），再度和烏克蘭人權記者兼導演安娜絲塔西雅米科娃（Anastasia Mikova）合作執導紀錄片《女也》（WOMAN）。該片耗時3年、走訪50餘國、2000多名女性，講述她們的故事。
紀錄片《女也》聚集世界各地不同文化、家庭或信仰背景的女性們，面對著鏡頭，以第一人稱的方式自敘：第一次月經、懷孕、工作、婚姻等議題。有人因家中男性不得不停止升學、有人遭父親性騷擾、更有人被丈夫潑硫酸毀容，揭露或是喜悅、或是悲憤，不該被埋沒的聲音。此次全球性大規模企劃，受到各國非政府組織以及法國巴黎銀行（BNP Paribas）等知名企業支持，兩位導演更將該片全數收益捐贈給「WOMAN(s)協會」，以培養與協助全球婦女與女孩進入媒體相關行業，期盼注入更多女性觀點，建立更包容與平等的世界。
