林亭翰睽違四年，終於推出個人全新第二張專輯《第二道光》。回首過去四年，全世界歷經了疫情的衝擊動盪、停擺又重啟，林亭翰在這段時間裡，也經歷著自我音樂生涯上的重大轉變期。此次專輯林亭翰不僅為詞曲全創作，也身兼專輯製作人，全面掌握自己要的音樂方向。這次收錄在專輯內的歌曲曲風多元，除了原本就擅長的慢板抒情歌曲外，也首度嘗試了許多不同的音樂風格：有電子音樂元素重的〈怪平衡〉、復古節奏編曲的〈再裝就不像了〉，還有兩首饒唱歌曲〈小奇〉及〈雅量〉，其中〈雅量〉更獲得《雅量》原文作者宋晶宜老師的原作授權，將國文課文饒唱成詞，透過更有創意的方式想要傳達「雅量」之於現代社會的重要性。

專輯主打歌〈借你的光〉，林亭翰則邀來在娛樂百分百狼人殺節目中認識的好友黃偉晉一起合唱。〈借你的光〉一曲描述著在複雜的人際感情中，總會有走到窮途末路的時候。一段人與人之間的緣分或情感當已走到盡頭，雙方都無法再勉強的時候，即使不說破，彼此也都心照不宣。因此比起緊握著不放而不鬆手，不如用力地放下，好好感謝這些當初照亮彼此的光芒，無論是借給對方抑或向別人那邊借來的，我們都曾如此盡力照亮彼此，那些為彼此努力過的，都不算白費。
