Oklahoma State's Ollie Gordon Steals Show Behind... GOOD O-Line. Mike Gundy Grading Up?
Oklahoma State RB Ollie Gordon helped the new script king Mike Gundy put on a clinic. The player buy-in is amazing, the faith & respect for Mike Gundy seems to be growing with his (re)-newly acquired hands in AND hands on approach being more physically viewed and visibly present with expo in tow. My personal opinion is too little too late, this all should have already happened last season... but at least it's actually happening and the more it appears and feels genuine the more the love could spread. Barry Sanders, Thurman Thomas, Tatum Bell, Justice Hill, Chuba Hubbard...

Advent #3: Let the Darkness Teach You - Erin Dooley | @kaleophx
For the third Sunday in the season of Advent @kaleophx, Pastor Erin guides us through Matthew 11:2-11, the work of Howard Thurman's book, "The Luminous Darkness" and shows us what it means to let the darkness be a peaceful teacher. Advent is a season in which we wait for God and with God. A season of waiting on God in ways that open us more and more completely to the fullness of God, a time to learn to wait as God waits.

A Greenhouse Contradiction - Erin Dooley | @kaleophx
I turned 33 yesterday. My Jesus year. Jesus, Howard Thurman, and MLK all lived in contradiction to the world they were living in. We must also do so if we want to create spaces of peace for communal flourishing. BUT…it starts with a seed in a greenhouse. I could think of no better way to gift the world with who I am than by sharing this message I gave last Sunday called The Greenhouse Contradiction. It strongly represents who I am as a pastor and the community we are growing @kaleophx.

Margaret Fuller: Early feminist and war correspondent
In in her 1843 essay The Great Lawsuit, the American journalist and early feminist Margaret Fuller forcefully argued for the rights of women to work, think and live on their own terms, not just as companions and foils for men. She was one of the first Americans to do so. Fuller was a pioneer in other respects too: a trail blazer for advocacy journalism and for unrestricted female education. In the 1840s she became the first paid US war correspondent, reporting from Rome besieged by the French army. Fuller packed a lot into a life of just 40 years...

Ep96. Black Christology and the Quest for Authenticity, John H. McClendon III
I sat down with Prof John H. McClendon to discuss his philosophical appraisal of Black Theology/Christology and materialist critique of its claim of authenticity. We discuss how he became interested in the topic through study of Howard Thurman, the relationship between Black Theology and African American theology that preceded it, and the shift from a focus on racism and its attendant structures to whiteness. We also discuss his engagement with and critique of Professor James Cone and the implications he sees in making God dependant on Blackness and Blackness dependant on white oppression. Finally we discuss the whole...
