Die Gleichschaltung des Rundfunks ist so weit fortgeschritten, dass die Nationalsozialisten nun einen neuen Sender aufbauen, der sich explizit ans Ausland wendet. Dazu wird der Intendant des Bayerischen Rundfunks Kurt von Boeckmann nach Berlin geschickt, um dort den Deutschen Kurzwellensender zu leiten. An diesem 14. April verabschiedet ihn der bayerische Wirtschaftsminister und Nationalsozialist Hermann Esser.
