Sparks of Motherhood4: An ectopic pregnancy followed by a missed miscarriageAfter having a successful pregnancy and welcoming their daughter with a normal pregnancy Shantel and her partner decided to start trying for their second. Falling pregnant happened pretty quickly until she started to experience spotting. Shantel was taken in for bloods to check her hormone levels and an ultrasound was done at 6 weeks to be told that she was going through an ectopic pregnancy which is where a fertilised egg implants and grows outside the main cavity of the uterus.
