This is a boon for Madison families who are struggling to afford Wisconsin’s rising child care costs – a hot button issue during this summer’s tense negotiations over the state budget.
But MMSD also stands to benefit from expanding its 4K options, according to reporting this week from the Cap Times.

Madison voters will encounter two referendum questions, one for facilities and one for operations, on the November 5th ballot. If passed, they would incrementally increase property tax over the next 4 years. By 2028, the average Madison property tax will be raised by more than $1,300. It is a colonial mentality. It also is one that doesn't understand the dynamics of our society, of behavior, the threat of violence through police may create order but it won't create safety; many times not the former either. What does this tell us about these people? How can we understand our social dynamics and what can be done?
