हिंसक असामियों का दृष्टान्त - प्रभु येसु दृष्टान्तों के द्वारा अपना संदेश श्रोताओं तक सटीक रूप से पहुंचते थे। इस दृष्टान्त में भी यही हुआ और यहूदी नेता समझ गए कि प्रभु उन्हीं के बारे में कह रहे थे। प्रभु का भी यही लक्ष्य था। दृष्टान्त सुनने वाले के जरुरत के अनुसार सन्देश देता है।
कैसर का कर - सबकुछ ईश्वर का है। और प्रभु येसु ने कहा, "जो कैसर का है, उसे कैसर को दो और जो ईश्वर का है, उसे ईश्वर को"।
पुनरुत्थान का प्रश्न - ईश्वर के लिए सब कोई जीवित हैं; इसलिए वे जीवितों का ईश्वर हैं।
सब से बडी आज्ञा - प्यार करना ही सब से बड़ी आज्ञा है; क्योंकि ईश्वर प्रेम हैं।
मसीह, दाऊद का पुत्र - ईश्वर ने राजा दाऊद एक साथ जो विधान किया था उसके अनुसार मसीह, प्रभु का अभिषिक्त, दाऊद का घराने का होगा; इसलिए वह दाऊद पुत्र कहलायेगा।
शास्त्रियों का पाखण्ड - ईश्वर के नज़र से अपने आपको देखने की शिक्षा प्रभु देते हैं और प्रभु बाहरी चीज नहीं बल्कि हमारे मन को देखते हैं।
विधवा का पैसा - एक व्यक्ति कितना दिया इसका माप उसके पास जो बच गया है उससे होना चाहिए, न कि वह दूसरों की तुलना में कितना दिया।

दृष्टान्तों का उद्देश्य - स्वर्गराज्य के रहस्यों को प्रभु नम्र और विनीत लोगों पर ही प्रकट करते हैं। प्रभु दैनिक जीवन की घटनाओं का प्रयोग कर लोगों को शिक्षा दिया करते थे।
बोने वाले के दृष्टान्त की व्याख्या - जब नम्र लोग कुछ नहीं समझ पाते हैं तो सहायता लेने से नहीं संकोच नहीं करते हैं और प्रभु उनकी मांग पूरी भी करते हैं।
दीपक का दृष्टान्त - ईश्वर के लिए कुछ भी गुप्त नहीं है।
नाप का दृष्टान्त - पूर्ण रूप से अपने जीवन जीने के बारे में शिक्षा।
बढ़ने वाले बीज का दृष्टान्त- ईश्वर भी कार्य करते रहते हैं। सृष्टि का निर्माण करने के बाद भी ईश्वर उसका देख-रेख करते रहते हैं।
राई का दाना - ईश्वर का राज्य पहले बहुत छोटा रहता ही है पर धीरे-धीरे वह वास्तविक रूप धारण करता ही है।
दृष्टान्तों का प्रयोग - ईश्वर के राज्य के रहस्यों को मनुष्यों को उन्हीं की भाषा में समझाना।
आँधी को शान्त करना - प्रभु सृष्टि पर भी अधिकार रखते हैं। वे उसका भी ईश्वर हैं।
