Dr. Saleh As-Saleh رحمه الله was from the foremost students of Shaykh Ibn-Uthaymeen رحمه الله. Kitāb-ut-Tawheed : Chapter 9:
Whoever seeks Blessing through a tree,a Stone, or the like
Allah the Most Exalted said:
أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ اللَّاتَ وَالْعُزَّىٰ – وَمَنَاةَ الثَّالِثَةَ الْأُخْرَىٰ – أَلَكُمُ الذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ الْأُنثَىٰ – تِلْكَ إِذًا قِسْمَةٌ ضِيزَىٰ – إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا أَسْمَاءٌ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُم مَّا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَانٍ ۚ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهْوَى الْأَنفُسُ ۖ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُم مِّن رَّبِّهِمُ الْهُدَىٰ
«Have you then considered al-Lāt, and al-‘Uzzā (two idols of the pagan Arabs)? And Manaat (another idol of the pagan Arabs), the other third? Is it for you the males and for Him the females? That indeed is a division most unfair! They are but names which you have named, you and your fathers, for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow but a guess and that which they themselves desire, whereas there has surely come to them the Guidance from their Lord!»

Outline:
وَأَعْظَمُ مَا أَمَرَ الْلَّهُ بِهِ الْتَّوْحِيدُ، وَهُوَ: إِفْرَادُ الْلَّهِ بِالْعِبَادَةِ.
And the greatest of all that Allaah has commanded is Tawheed, which is to single out Allaah with all worship.
-Proof on Tawheed being the most important matter.
-Definition of Taweed.

-Tawheed is to affirm (ithbaat) and deny (nafy)
وَأَعْظَمُ مَا نَهَى عَنْهُ الْشِّرْكُ،
the worst and most serious matter that Allaah prohibited and forbade
is Shirk (associating partners with him).
وَالْدَّلِيلُ قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَاعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَلاَ تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئاً [النساء:36].
"Worship Allaah alone, making all worship purely for Him, and do not associate anything in worship along with Him."

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
اعلمْ -رحمكَ اللهُ- أَنَّهُ يجبُ علينَا تَعَلُّمُ أربعِ مسائلَ؛
الأُولى: العِلْمُ؛ وهوَ معرفةُ اللهِ، ومعرفةُ نبيِّهِ، ومعرفةُ دينِ الإسلامِ بالأدلةِ.
الثانيةُ: العملُ بهِ.
الثالثةُ: الدعوةُ إليهِ.
الرابعةُ: الصبرُ علَى الأَذى فيهِ.
والدليلُ قولُه تعالَى: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
وَالْعَصْرِ (1) إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ (2) إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ (3)
قالَ الشافعيُّ رحمَهُ اللهُ : لوْ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ حُجَّةً عَلَى خَلْقِهِ إلاَّ هٰذه السُّورَةَ لَكَفَتْهُمْ
*Intro:
-Even though this is a tawheed class, Islamic sciences are intertwined and therefore this class will seem like it's a tafseer class.
