Hong Kong GorEpisode Twenty two - Chungking Express (1994)You might not have guessed it from looking at the movies we talked about for the last two seasons but we actually always intended to cover other sort of Hong Kong movies than the action or genre ones. The timing was never right, there were always ideas, or maybe we didn't feel ready yet? Well, guess what? This war movie set in Vietnam tells the story of twelve convicts forced to accomplish a dangerous mission. The movie follows some American tropes and switches between comedy and drama in-between some incredible action scenes.
