Wazan FA’LUN adalah qias mashdar dari Fi’il Muta’addi tiga huruf, seperti “RODDA” bentuk mashdarnya adalah “RODDAN”
وَفَعِلَ اللازِمُ بَابُهُ فَعَلْ ¤ كَفَرَحٍ وَكَجَوىً وَكَشَلَلْ
Wazan fi’il FA’ILA (kasrah ‘ain fi’ilnya) yang Lazim, bab mashdarnya berwazan FA’ALUN, seperti “FAROHUN”, “JAWAN”, dan “SYALALUN”.
وَفَعَلَ اللازمُ مِثْلَ قَعَدَا ¤ لَهُ فُعُولٌ بِاطِّرادٍ كَغَدَا
Wazan fi’il FA’ALA (fathah ain fi’ilnya) yang Lazim semisal QO’ADA, mashdarnya berwazan FU’UULUN secara permanen, seperti “GHODAA” (mashdarnya adalah “GHUDUWWUN”.
مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ مُسْتَوْجِباً فِعَالا ¤ أوْ فَعَلَاناً فَادْرِ أوْ فُعَالا
(demikian itu permanen berwazan Fu’uulun) selama tidak mewajibkan terhadap wazan FI’AALUN, FA’ALAANUN atau FU’AALUN, maka dari itu ketahuilah!.
