The first jail radio was established in Panipat in 2021. The year 2021 has been special for jails in Haryana and Uttarakhand. Inmates across these jails danced along the rhythm of songs, prayers, raginis and signature tunes. At least 47 talented inmates, in 7 out of 19 jails in Haryana and Dehradun Jail in Uttarakhand, received special training under Tinka Tinka’s prison radio project.
