逐字稿 Transcript 你有聽過世界地球日嗎?你可能知道跟環境保護還有愛護地球有關,但實際上我們應該做什麼來保護我們所居住的地球呢?透過本及的Podcast,一起更認識世界地球日吧!今天是4月22日,世界地球日(Earth Day)。第一屆的地球日開始於1970年。世界地球日的發起人是美國威斯康辛州的參議員蓋洛德·尼爾森(Gaylord Nelson)。蓋洛德·尼爾森受到1969年的加州聖塔芭芭拉嚴重漏油事件的影響,還有反戰運動的啟發,選定在美國大學期末考前的4月22日舉辦第一屆的地球日,希望人們重視當時日漸嚴重的空氣汙染以及水污染問題。很快的,這個活動在全美引起了熱烈的迴響,多達2000萬美國人參加。到了1990年,全世界有高達141國響應世界地球日的活動。每一年的世界地球日都會有一個主題,今年2022年的主題是「投資我們的地球」:Invest in Our Planet.強調綠色經濟、永續的商業模式。消費者有意識地購買環保的商品,企業基於環境保護,以友善環境的方式製作商品。例如:太陽能、風力發電、使用生物燃料等等,都是業者在生產商品時可以考慮的替代能源。 除了環境污染的減少、資源重複使用…...等等比較常見的環保概念,這幾年還出現了一個關於環保的詞語「碳足跡」。我們都知道二氧化碳是造成全球暖化的溫室氣體。如果生活當中,大家都有意識的去減少二氧化碳的排放,那或許地球暖化的速度就能夠減緩。減少「碳足跡」的方式除了吃素食、使用替代能源以外,其實還有許多小細節是我們只要在生活中多注意一點,就能夠減少碳排放的方法。例如:節約用電、節省用水等等。另外,有一些比較意想不到的像是:減少電子郵件的發送,以及取消訂閱電子報。根據英國研究者邁克·伯納斯·李(Mike Berners-Lee)的研究結果,一封電子郵件會產生4克的二氧化碳。因此就連減少電子報的訂閱,都可以為「減少碳」足跡盡一份心力喔。從智慧手機、平板電腦問世以來,在網路上看影片、追劇已是稀鬆平常的事情了。如果大家在看影片的時候,選擇較低畫質的影片,也能夠有效減少碳排放。 從千禧年左右開始,由於「快時尚」的興起,衣服從生產到被丟棄的過程當中,也製造出不少「碳足跡」。「快時尚」是指時尚產業在很短的時間內產生出一種追隨潮流的商業模式。一般的人衣服隨著一年四季會更換,但是追求「快時尚」的人,會為了追隨潮流,兩周左右就購買一次新衣服。因此如果我們在買衣服的時候,選擇適合自己又耐穿的衣服,不追隨潮流,也是其中一個能夠減少生活中「碳足跡」的方法。 台灣從2002年開始翻譯世界地球日的網站資訊,漸漸地每年也都會舉辦與世界地球日相關活動。2017年開始台灣環境資訊協會與綠藤生機發起了「綠色生活21天」的活動。在21天當中,有21個能夠實踐減碳環保的綠行動。像是使用電子發票存入載具、一天不使用潤髮乳、一天少使用一個一次性的餐具……等等。透過改變生活當中的一點小習慣,每個人都可以為地球盡一份心力。 你在生活中還有發現什麼可以減碳、保護地球的方式嗎?留言告訴我們,讓我們一起一天養成一個減碳的小習慣,為地球的永續生命一起努力吧!
