Întâmplarea a dus-o în America, unde a învățat engleza, dar și profesia de bucătar. A condus o echipa mare într-o brutărie europeană. A lucrat ca patiser la un restaurant cu 2 stele Michelin, unde a îndulcit mulți oaspeți, inclusiv pe fostul președinte al Statelor Unite Obama, delegațiii europene, case de modă italiene dar și oameni celebri locali, ca Mark Zuckerberg sau Margaret Cho.
În prezent lucrează ca patiser într-un hotel istoric din orașul San Francisco.
