Vontaze DeLeon Burfict Jr is a former American football linebacker. He played college football at Arizona State. Considered the most highly ranked football prospect Arizona State ever signed to a letter of intent, Burfict was recognized as an All-American in 2010 and projected an early first round pick for the 2012 NFL Draft. However, a mediocre on-field performance and poor pre-draft workouts diminished his draft stock, resulting in him not being selected. He was subsequently signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cincinnati Bengals, where he played for seven seasons.

Jones was a standout baseball player at Lawndale high school and would go on to play outfield for Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Tracy would be drafted by the New York Mets in the 4th round of the 1982 amateur draft, but he did not sign. In January of 1983, Jones was selected as the first overall pick of the secondary phase of the amateur draft by the Cincinnati Reds.
