Sisällissota 1918 - punaiset muistotSisällissota 1918 - punaiset muistot: Aseet vain hälytystä varten (Väinö Heiskanen, Ruokojärvi)(22.2.1967) Varkauden lähelle Ruokojärvelle tammikuussa 1918 perustettuun järjestyskaartiin kuuluivat käytännössä kaikki paikalliset miehet. Se perustui kyläkunnan yhteispäätökseen järjestyksenpidosta punakaartien aiemmin tekemien ryöstöjen ja murhien johdosta. Oman kaartin tehtävänä oli ainoastaan vahtipalvelus, ja aseetkin olivat vain hälytyksiä varten. Varkauksia ja murhia ei omalla kylällä tapahtunut, mutta elintarvikkeiden pakkoluovutukset tulkittiin myöhemmin ryöstöiksi. Rauhallinen tilanne muuttui vakavammaksi, kun valkoiset hyökkäsivät seudulle. Kertoja Väinö Heiskanen toimi myöhemmin teatterinjohtajana.
