Karl Heinz Roth ist Historiker, Mediziner und Vorstandsmitglied der Stiftung für Sozialgeschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts in Bremen. In einer Buchreihe zur globalen Krise (erscheint im VSA Verlag) setzt er sich mit eben dieser und den durch sie verursachten "Proletarisierungsprozessen" auseinander. Er nahm teil an der Diskussionsveranstaltung "Der kommende Aufstand - reloaded" im Hamburger Gängeviertel. Kurz darauf, am 9. August, trafen wir - KP Flügel und Jorinde Reznikoff - uns mit ihm in Bremen. Da gerade in England die Riots auf ihrem Höhepunkt waren, lagen Bezugnahmen auf diese Auseinandersetzungen mehr als nahe.
