שימושים נוספים במציאות רבודה, אפליקציית המדידה, רמזים מ iOS 14 על חיישן דומה באייפון, בשימוש ברכבים של אפל כבר שנים, פרטיות לעומת טכנולוגיות אחרות.
### גילויים חדשים במפרט
* 6 גיגה זכרון לכולם, חיישן U1 שעדיין לא ברור אם קיים.
* מעבד בפועל זהה לקודם, כנראה רק אפשרו ליבת מעבד גרפית אחת שהיתה קיימת אך מנוטרלת בקודם. ביצועים כמעט זהים.
* עניין הליבה שנוטרלה הוא בגלל שכולם עושים את זה - אפל ייצרה מעבד עם שמונה ליבות אבל מבחינה כמותית לא מספיק טובים יצאו מפס הייצור ולכן מכרה רק כאלה עם 7, אבל עברו שנים ועכשיו יש מספיק ניסיון וכמויות כדי לשחרר מעבד עם כל הליבות מנוצלות.

לראשונה סמל של אייפד מופיע בצורה המאוזנת של הקייס. הצבע חדש לאפל - כמעט שחור לגמרי. גם המקלדת פוליו אגב. ולראשונה צבעים בקייסים הפוליו הרגילים.
