Read Bengali Classics Story ধ্বংস By Rabindranath Tagoreধ্বংস (dhwangso) দিদি, তোমাকে একটা হালের খবর বলি।--প্যারিস শহরের অল্প একটু দূরে ছিল তাঁর ছোটো বাসাটি। বাড়ির কর্তার নাম পিয়ের শোপ্যাঁ। তাঁর সারা জীবনের শখ ছিল গাছপালার জোড় মিলিয়ে, রেণু মিলিয়ে, তাদের চেহারা, তাদের রঙ, তাদের স্বাদ বদল ক'রে নতুন রকমের সৃষ্টি তৈরি করতে। তাতে কম সময় লাগত না। এক-একটি ফুলের ফলের স্বভাব বদলাতে বছরের পর বছর কেটে যেত। এ কাজে যেমন ছিল তাঁর আনন্দ তেমনি ছিল তাঁর ধৈর্য। বাগান নিয়ে তিনি যেন জাদু করতেন। লাল হত নীল, সাদা হত আলতার রঙ, আঁটি যেত উড়ে, খোসা যেত খ'সে। যেটা ফলতে লাগে ছ মাস তার মেয়াদ কমে হত দু মাস। ছিলেন গরিব, ব্যবসাতে সুবিধা করতে পারতেন না। যে করত তাঁর হাতের কাজের তারিফ তাকে দামি মাল অমনি দিতেন বিলিয়ে। যার মতলব ছিল দাম ফাঁকি দিতে সে এসে বলত, কী ফুল ফুটেছে আপনার সেই গাছটাতে, চার দিক থেকে লোক আসছে দেখতে, একেবারে তাক লেগে যাচ্ছে।তিনি দাম চাইতে ভুলে যেতেন।তাঁর জীবনের খুব বড়ো শখ ছিল তাঁর মেয়েটি। তার নাম ছিল ক্যামিল। সে ছিল তাঁর দিনরাত্রের আনন্দ, তাঁর কাজকর্মের সঙ্গিনী। তাকে তিনি তাঁর বাগানের কাজে পাকা করে তুলেছিলেন। ঠিকমতো বুদ্ধি করে কলমের জোড় লাগাতে সে তার বাপের চেয়ে কম ছিল না। বাগানে সে মালী রাখতে দেয় নি। সে নিজের হাতে মাটি খুঁড়তে, বীজ বুনতে, আগাছা নিড়োতে, বাপের সঙ্গে সমান পরিশ্রম করত। এ ছাড়া রেঁধেবেড়ে বাপকে খাওয়ানো, কাপড় শেলাই ক'রে দেওয়া, তাঁর হয়ে চিঠির জবাব দেওয়া-- সব কাজের ভার নিয়েছিল নিজে। চেস্ট্নাট গাছের তলায় ওদের ছোট্ট এই ঘরটি সেবায় শান্তিতে ছিল মধুমাখা। ওদের বাগানের ছায়ায় চা খেতে খেতে পাড়ার লোক সে কথা জানিয়ে যেত। ওরা জবাবে বলত, অনেক দামের আমাদের এই বাসা, রাজার মণিমানিক দিয়ে তৈরি নয়, তৈরি হয়েছে দুটি প্রাণীর ভালোবাসা দিয়ে, আর-কোথাও এ পাওয়া যাবে না।যে ছেলের সঙ্গে মেয়েটির বিবাহের কথা ছিল সেই জ্যাক মাঝে মাঝে কাজে যোগ দিতে আসত; কানে কানে জিগ্গেস করত, শুভদিন আসবে কবে। ক্যামিল কেবলই দিন পিছিয়ে দিত; বাপকে ছেড়ে সে কিছুতেই বিয়ে করতে চাইত না।জর্মানির সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ বাধল ফ্রান্সের। রাজ্যের কড়া নিয়ম, পিয়েরকে যুদ্ধে টেনে নিয়ে গেল। ক্যামিল চোখের জল লুকিয়ে বাপকে বললে, কিছু ভয় কোরো না, বাবা। আমাদের এই বাগানকে প্রাণ দিয়ে বাঁচিয়ে রাখব।মেয়েটি তখন হলদে রজনীগন্ধা তৈরি করে তোলবার পরখ করছিল। বাপ বলেছিলেন, হবে না; মেয়ে বলেছিল, হবে। তার কথা যদি খাটে তা হলে যুদ্ধ থেকে বাপ ফিরে এলে তাঁকে অবাক করে দেবে, এই ছিল তার পণ।ইতিমধ্যে জ্যাক এসেছিল দু দিনের ছুটিতে রণক্ষেত্র থেকে খবর দিতে যে, পিয়ের পেয়েছে সেনানায়কের তক্মা। নিজে না আসতে পেরে তাকে পাঠিয়ে দিয়েছে এই সুখবর দিতে। জ্যাক এসে দেখলে, সেইদিন সকালেই গোলা এসে পড়েছিল ফুলবাগানে। যে তাকে প্রাণ দিয়ে বাঁচিয়ে রেখেছিল তার প্রাণসুদ্ধ নিয়ে ছারখার হয়ে গেল বাগানটি। এর মধ্যে দয়ার হাত ছিল এইটুকু, ক্যামিল ছিল না বেঁচে।সকলের আশ্চর্য লেগেছিল সভ্যতার জোর হিসাব করে। লম্বা দৌড়ের কামানের গোলা এসে পড়েছিল পঁচিশ মাইল তফাথ থেকে। এ'কে বলে কালের উন্নতি।সভ্যতার কত যে জোর, আর-এক দেশে আর-একবার তার পরীক্ষা হয়েছে। তার প্রমাণ রয়ে গেছে ধুলার মধ্যে, আর-কোথাও নয়। সে চীনদেশে। তাকে লড়তে হয়েছিল বড়ো বড়ো দুই সভ্য জাতের সঙ্গে। পিকিন শহরে ছিল আশ্চর্য এক রাজবাড়ি। তার মধ্যে ছিল বহু-কালের-জড়ো-করা মন-মাতানো শিল্পের কাজ। মানুষের হাতের তেমন গুণপনা আর-কখনো হয় নি, হবে না। যুদ্ধে চীনের হার হল; (বাংলার আড্ডাখানা)রাজরানী: রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরRabindranath Tagore - Stories - গল্পসল্প -রাজরানী(Rajrani)Rabindranath Tagore : বাঙালির 'প্রাণের ঠাকুর' রবীন্দ্রনাথছোটো প্রাণ, ছোটো ব্যথা, ছোটো ছোটো দুঃখকথা নিতান্ত সহজ সরল, সহস্র বিস্মৃতিরাশি প্রত্যহ যেতেছে ভাসি তারি দু-চারটি অশ্রু জল। নাহি বর্ণনার ছটা,ঘটনার ঘনঘটা, নাহি তত্ত্ব নাহি উপদেশ। অন্তরে অতৃপ্তি রবে সাঙ্গ করি মনে হবে শেষ হয়ে হইল না শেষ। জগতের শত শত অসমাপ্ত কথা যত, অকালের বিচ্ছিন্ন মুকুল, অকালের জীবনগুলো, অখ্যাত কীর্তির ধুলা, কত ভাব, কত ভয় ভুল-ছোটগল্পে জীবনের সামগ্রিক দিকটি উপন্যাসের মতো বিস্তারিতভাবে বর্ণিত না হয়ে বরং এর খণ্ডাংশকে পরিবেশিত হয়। এজন্য ছোটগল্প যথাসম্ভব বাহুল্যবর্জিত, রসঘন ও নিবিড় হয়ে থাকে। সংগত কারণেই এতে পাত্রপাত্রী বা চরিত্রের সংখ্যা খুবই সীমিত হয়। ছোটগল্পের প্রারম্ভ ও প্রাক্কাল সাধারণৎ খানিকটা নাটকীয় হয়।
