THE Podcaster Nation
THE Podcaster Nation #11 - "The Outbreak News Interviews" Podcast, with Robert Herriman!!!
Today's episode features the MOST UNEXPECTED PODCAST I have ever encountered. I was fascinated by this topic and niche, and amazed by the podcaster himself. Robert Herriman, Microbiology Supervisor, has been on a mission to educate the world about infectious diseases and health risks. His podcast features in depth analysis and explanation of potential outbreaks, sewer raccoons, sushi parasites, and much, much more. This topic and the man who covers it are amazing. Dengue awareness and a personal story
In 2016, Robert Toulson-Burke traveled with some friends to southeast Asia for a vacation-an exciting thing for sure-however things went bad over there as the young man died from dengue hemorrhagic fever. Joining me today to tell Bob's story is his mother, Jayne Toulson-Burke. Jayne is also an ambassador for the World Mosquito Programme and is fully passionate with teaching others about the dangers and risks of dengue.

A recent study published in One Health shows more than a dozen kinds of animals in addition to slugs and snails have caused rat lungworm disease in people around the world. Joining me today to look at rat lungworm and the One Health study is Robert Cowie, PhD, Dr. Cowie is senior author on the study and faculty member in the University of Hawaii Mānoa School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology.

Term Limits | Nick Tomboulides |Let's Talk |Ep. 006
US Term limits has written on their website: Congress was meant to be a citizen legislature. Our representatives were supposed to go to Washington, serve for a short time, then return to live under the laws they made. This vision has been lost. Congress is now a haven for career politicians who put their own power, perks and privileges ahead of public service. Even worse, they are impossible to unseat thanks to cozy connections with lobbyists and special interests. This broken system needs repair. So why term limits (as if I have to ask) and what is being done today...
